A series of workshops put on by UCL advances I attended which had people from different universities and courses collaborating with each other to design, make and sell a product promoting their sub-brand Citrus Saturday. In a team of 5 we decided to design an experience for the public to try miracle berries, 100% natural berries which turn sour things sweet. We pitched our idea and got a spot in the final 4 teams who made and sold their ideas at market.
After securing a place in the final four we split the project in to two sections, one sourced the product while the other designed the promotional material. I designed flyers, banners and price lists with the style guide and assets provided by Navig8 in mind. We also created a Twitter account which we used to create awareness before the selling took place.
Over the weekend we sold at Camden market we made a total of £209. We went on to win the whole competition and each received £200 as well as our expenses reimbursed.
